Sight Unseen was founded in 2023 with a vision to make a positive change in the world. We are committed to empowering communities and individuals through our range of activities and initiatives. We build productive relationships and create real transformation in the lives of so many.

Sight Unseen was made to help young children in Ghana obtain comprehensive eye care. At Sight Unseen, we strive to create lasting impact in communities through our initiatives and activities. The Founders Testimony
From birth the Founder Carys Adusei was born with a cataract in her right eye. The doctors failed to remove it in time which caused her to go legally blind in the right eye. Due to the unforeseen circumstance she was forced to adapt to a world that was meant for people with two eyes. She often felt alone, but she never let people tear her down due to her disability.

Carys has always been a helping soul. During April of 2023 Carys won her first pageant at her school the University of Delaware. A requirement for the pageant was to pick a cause/platform that best tailored to the contestant. Carys had a dream to open her own nonprofit and winning the pageant helped her fulfill that dream. She chose to start Sight Unseen to help give comprehensive eye care to young children in her homeland, Ghana.
